Driving Sustainable Development Through Peace and Empowerment
JEJO Foundation advances the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by promoting sustainable peace, preventing violent conflict, empowering women and youth as agents of change, strengthening resilient communities, and building strategic partnerships that create lasting social transformation.
Our work is primarily aligned with SDG 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, while also contributing to SDG 4 – Quality Education, SDG 5 – Gender Equality, and SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals.
SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions
Peace is at the heart of everything we do. JEJO Foundation equips individuals and communities with the knowledge and skills to prevent conflict, promote reconciliation, and build peaceful societies.
Our approach is to help individuals discover their God-given calling to serve the world. We empower people to use their unique gifts and talents collaboratively to build peaceful, resilient communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Our initiatives include:
- Training Peace Community Champions in schools, neighborhoods, and villages who become local ambassadors for peace.
- Conducting peacebuilding, mediation, and conflict prevention programs.
- Supporting trauma healing and reconciliation for communities affected by violence and conflict.
- Working with mental health and PTSD specialists to help survivors heal, rediscover purpose, and become agents of positive change.
- Evangelism and Community Outreach: We conduct evangelistic missions within communities to share the Gospel, remind people of God’s will, inspire hope, and encourage lives rooted in faith, love, reconciliation, and service to others.
SDG 4: Quality Education
Many young people recruited into violence and armed conflict come from disadvantaged backgrounds, often lacking access to education and employment opportunities. JEJO Foundation believes that education is one of the strongest tools for preventing conflict and breaking the cycle of poverty.
Through our Educational Fund, we:
- Provide educational support to vulnerable students, including orphans and those from low-income families.
- Connect deserving students with sponsors and scholarship opportunities.
- Encourage youth to pursue higher education, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), enabling them to secure employment or create their own businesses.
Our impact includes students such as Bahati and Duncan, who successfully completed their secondary education despite significant financial hardship and continue to pursue their dreams.
SDG 5: Gender Equality
Women and girls are often the most affected by war and conflict. They face gender-based violence, sexual assault, displacement, economic hardship, and the burden of caring for families after losing spouses or loved ones.
JEJO Foundation empowers women by:
- Promoting access to education and economic opportunities.
- Providing mentorship and psychosocial support.
- Educating adolescent girls on reproductive health and life skills to reduce early and unintended pregnancies.
- Supporting women to become peacebuilders and leaders within their communities.
SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals
Sustainable peace requires collaboration. JEJO Foundation works alongside churches, schools, community organizations, government institutions, mental health professionals, educators, development partners, and international organizations to maximize collective impact.
Through these partnerships, we:
- Deliver community-based peacebuilding programs.
- Strengthen local leadership and resilience.
- Expand educational opportunities for vulnerable children and youth.
- Develop holistic solutions that address the root causes of conflict and poverty.

The Jejo Foundation’s AI-Enhanced Solution
Jejo Foundation is pioneering a new approach to social transformation by combining community-driven leadership with the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence. The Foundation will recruit, train, and empower a network of Change Champions who will mobilize and educate their communities on peacebuilding, civic responsibility, education, and social development.
What makes this initiative unique is the strategic integration of AI at every critical stage of the mission. Artificial Intelligence will be used to strengthen community outreach, improve data collection and analysis, monitor impact, identify emerging social challenges, and support informed decision-making for more effective interventions.
The Jejo Foundation is redefining how social change organizations operate in the 21st century. By combining passionate local leaders with innovative AI-driven solutions, the Foundation seeks to deliver faster, deeper, and more sustainable impact within vulnerable communities.
This project moves beyond conventional NGO models by positioning AI not merely as a tool, but as a strategic partner in development and peacebuilding. The Foundation is committed to deploying ethical and culturally sensitive AI systems that prioritize transparency, fairness, accountability, and human oversight ensuring that technology always serves humanity, especially the most vulnerable populations.
Through this vision, the initiative represents more than just another development project; it introduces a new standard of intelligent, efficient, and preventive social impact work across communities in Africa and beyond.
Peace Building Among Women
Jejo Foundation recognizes that women, especially mothers, are givers and nurturers of life and play a vital role in building peaceful families and communities. For this reason, the foundation engages different groups of women through peace talks, counseling, and mediation initiatives aimed at promoting reconciliation, unity, and social harmony.
The organization also encourages women to work together through small groups, cooperatives, and income-generating activities in order to improve their economic well-being. By empowering women economically and socially, Jejo Foundation contributes to stronger families, reduced conflicts, and more peaceful and resilient communities.
Ongoing Project: “Congo–Goma Mission”
Goma is a region that has experienced prolonged conflict and instability for many years. Although the security situation is gradually improving, many schools and communities are still recovering from the impact of war. Schools are slowly reopening, and there is a great need for psychosocial support, peacebuilding, and educational assistance for young people.
Jejo Foundation, together with its partners, is preparing a mission to Bon Belge School to support students and the wider community through:
PTSD and trauma healing sessions for youth affected by conflict
Peace talks and reconciliation programs
Awareness campaigns against drug and substance abuse
Mentorship and guidance to help reduce unwanted pregnancies among young girls
Spiritual encouragement and youth empowerment activities
In addition, Jejo Foundation has secured a donation of chalk to be distributed to schools in Congo in order to support education and help schools resume learning effectively.
Current Needs for the Congo Mission
To successfully implement this mission, the following support is urgently needed:
Transportation of donated materials and mission teams
Mission facilitation fees for volunteers and partners
Accommodation and logistics during the outreach
One-week youth peace and healing camps
Food distribution for vulnerable families and students
Educational materials and school support supplies
This mission aims to restore hope, promote peace, and help rebuild the future of young people and communities affected by conflict.
